Biography
Born into a family of proud Inquisitors, Ben was destined to become a mage hunter. The Blackburn family owes their lives to Durand, and tradition dictates that they always send their first-born son to join the Inquisition. As such, once he came of age, Ben was shipped off to Karak du Vide and began training as a Channeler, against his own desires.
Much to his family's chagrin, however, Ben's body ultimately rejected the channeler rituals, causing him great pain and leaving him with unknown permanent damage - not to mention permanent channeler tattoos that do not work. Ben became an Ebonguard instead. Since then, Ben has worked tirelessly fulfilling his duties, though he quietly practices his personal passions on the side - primarily, music and poetry.
Description
Ben stands tall, with very broad shoulders and lithe, well-toned muscles. His shadowed and often tired-looking, dark eyes have earned him the nickname "Ben Baleful" among his peers. He keeps his pitch-black hair efficiently short, though it is almost never seen, given he seems eternally clad in his armor to conceal his face and his body with its runic black tattoos.
Armor and Weapons
Being an Ebonguard, Ben wears a full suit of void iron armor, including a full-face helm, which he rarely removes. He favors his double-bit axe, though he also carries a sword and dagger, all made of void iron.
Personality
Put simply, Ben is a calm, easygoing man, with a casual attitude and a willingness to make friends with just about anyone. Brave but peaceful, Ben prefers drinking, relaxing with his friends, and playing music to battle, but he still strives to protect others from the evils of the world.
