Melisende is a medicine woman and midwife in Redfield, working from her small home that doubles as a business simply called Melisende's House of Healing. She was the midwife for the mother of Caiden Voros and Plexaura Voros, and she currently mentors Plexaura in both her trade and in magic, as Melisende bears the Gift.

Biography

Little is known of Melisende's past or even her birthplace, for she doesn't care to share it. She has been living as a midwife and occasional healer in the city of Redfield for many years now, peddling herbs and helping with the occasional illness, bandaging a wound, or setting a broken limb in-between assisting expecting mothers. Recently, she took Plexaura under her wing, to learn her trade - and to train Plexaura in how to control her magic. For, in secret, Melisende too is Gifted.

Personality

A gentle and welcoming spirit, Melisende has dedicated her life to helping others. She occasionally comes across as aloof, never wanting to discuss her past or where she is from, for which she often apologizes - and then steers the subject elsewhere. Regardless, Melisende is kind, if seemingly a bit needy, often wanting to be the center of attention or to claim the attention of those she cares about solely for herself.
