Nagas are snake beastfolk. The word usually refers to cobra-like beastfolk, although it may be used for other types of snake-people as well. They can be found all throughout Midgard, bearing a variety of appearances and cultures. Contrary to popular belief, they are not innately evil and have no relation to the demonic spawn of Apophis or to the demonic Lamia.

Appearance

All nagas have the upper torso and arms of a man and the tail of a snake in place of legs; their head is like a snake's, and their body is covered in scales. They come in a wide variety of types and colors and color patterns, like their animal counterparts. Their eyes also come in a variety of hues natural to either snakes or men, including yellow, orange, red, blue, and green.

Culture

The cultures of the various types of nagas remain shrouded in mystery. Many snake-folk prefer to fight with poisoned weapons, using their own poison to coat their blades. Their societies vary widely between various kind of nagas, but it is common for the snake-folk to guard ancient temples and ruins.
