Very little is known about the old woman known only as "the Mother." A cold and calculating leader of the Silent Messengers, she trained Whisper in 1116 AI in The Box in Coronaria. She dressed in dark red robes, with black gloves, and had white hair and blue eyes. All the Assassins feared and respected her, even Hanan al-Saffah. Her present whereabouts are unknown.
