Coralia is a mermaid who lives just off the coast of the Southwestern Wilds. She spends little time in her undersea home, however, preferring to explore the vast ocean and especially along the coastlines, despite the numerous dangers waiting there.
Biography
Born in a city of merfolk and interacting often with the many beastfolk of cities such as Knossos as well as the people of Amazonia, Coralia was born with insatiable wanderlust. She often left the underwater city of her people to swim north along the coast in search of interesting treasures and people. She has never cared for the feuds between beastfolk and Men, though an incident at sea taught her that Men were not always to be trusted. Caught in a net and hauled to the nearest port, which happened to be the city of Illikon, Coralia was nearly killed before being rescued by a local knight, Tom Drake, who released her back into the ocean. She has since resumed her wanderings, perhaps a bit more cautious but no less curious about everything - while making frequent stealthy trips back to Illikon to visit her savior and share all her latest findings.
Personality
Eternally curious and a gossip, Coralia is a bubbly, optimistic, and even silly individual who loves to collect baubles and hear the tales of others, as well as share stories of her own, trying to stay up to date on all the comings and goings along the entire coast of the Achaean Empire. She can have a tendency to exaggerate, but she doesn't tend to tell outright lies, and she disdains those who do. She has no particular dislike for any other creature and enjoys spending her time with everything from animals to other beastfolk to even Men or Alfar, charming all of them into telling her about themselves. She very much enjoys feeling important and possessing secrets, most of which she only occasionally shares. Despite others often seeing her as a bit of an airhead, though, she actually has a sharp wit and keen insight, especially when it comes to reading others.
