The Golden Dragon is the current ship of Captain Eduardo Gurita, a pirate and privateer working for Illikon. Eduardo's previous vessel, Typhon's Breath, was destroyed by magi during the Illikon mage cult incident. Queen Carlisa Illikoni then had The Golden Dragon built for Eduardo according to his very picky specifications, basing it on the same exotic design as Typhon's Breath, but with a few improvements. It is a caravel, built for speed, and its sails are triangular. The largest sail bears the design of a great dragon that shimmers gold in the sunlight and moonlight. On its prow is a winged depiction of Nike, Achaean goddess of victory, and its forecastle deck bears a large ballista.
