The Golden Dragon is the current ship of Captain Eduardo Gurita, a pirate and privateer working for Illikon. Eduardo's previous vessel, Typhon's Breath, was destroyed by magi during the Illikon mage cult incident. [[Carlisa Illikoni|Queen Carlisa Illikoni[[ then had The Golden Dragon built for Eduardo according to his very picky specifications, basing it on the same exotic design as Typhon's Breath, but with a few improvements. It is a caravel, built for speed, and its sails are triangular. The largest sail bears the design of a great dragon that shimmers gold in the sunlight and moonlight. On its prow is a winged depiction of Nike, Achaean goddess of victory, and its forecastle deck bears a large ballista.
