The Simurg (also Simargl or Simurgh) is a chimeran being with feathered wings, the head of a hound, the claws of a lion, and the tail of a peacock. In Parsanshar it is a holy symbol, and according to them only one such creature exists, which is very ancient and very wise. It also appears in art as far away as Northrim. There have been a few reported sightings of such creatures (perhaps the offspring of the original), but they are very rare. They are said to possess powerful magic and be capable of speech.
