Mótsognir was the very first dwarf created by the Aesir, formed from the Earth itself - the flesh of Ymir. He was - or perhaps still is - the greatest of all dwarves. Some say he still lives, dwelling deep beneath the earth, near its very core. He is revered as a god by current-day dwarves.
