After [[Eloh]] falls victim to a raid from [[beastfolk]] from [[Rognosst Swamp]], Earl Marks refuses to order anyone into the swamp to rescue peasants who have been taken prisoner. Only Tom Drake, still a squire, holds the determination to rescue the kidnapped innocents. Aided only by a pair of [[Venatori]], Drake treks into the swamp to mount a rescue, traveling deep into the beastfolk's own territory.

After Eloh falls victim to a raid from beastfolk from Rognosst Swamp, Earl Marks refuses to order anyone into the swamp to rescue peasants who have been taken prisoner. Only Tom Drake, still a squire, holds the determination to rescue the kidnapped innocents. Aided only by a pair of Venatori, Drake treks into the swamp to mount a rescue, traveling deep into the beastfolk's own territory.
