"Waking the Dragon" (Drake's Tale) is a Wulfgard short story by Maegan A. Stebbins, which tells the story of Tom Drake receiving his knighthood. It will be included in the Tales of Wulfgard: Volume I short story collection.
Synopsis
After Eloh falls victim to a raid from beastfolk from Rognosst Swamp, Earl Marks refuses to order anyone into the swamp to rescue peasants who have been taken prisoner. Only Tom Drake, still a squire, holds the determination to rescue the kidnapped innocents. Aided only by a pair of Venatori, Drake treks into the swamp to mount a rescue, traveling deep into the beastfolk's own territory.
