The Golden Dragon is the current ship of Captain Eduardo Gurita, a pirate and privateer working for Illikon. Eduardo's previous vessel, Typhon's Breath, was destroyed by the fire mage Fredrik while the privateers, along with Tom Drake and his friends Magnus and Corben McShane, were chasing the mages during the Illikon mage cult incident. Queen Carlisa Illikoni then had The Golden Dragon built for Eduardo according to his very picky specifications, basing it on the same exotic design as Typhon's Breath, but with a few improvements. It is a caravel, built for speed, and its sails are triangular. The largest sail bears the design of a great dragon that shimmers gold in the sunlight and moonlight. On its prow is a winged depiction of Nike, Achaean goddess of victory, and its forecastle deck bears a large ballista.
Crew
Eduardo Antonio Juan Zatara Gurita – Captain.
Elektra – First mate.
Old Grey-Eyes – Former Viking and shaman; navigator.
Rat – Vidralfr, spends most of his time in the crow’s nest; lookout.
Dead Bill – Former member of a gang of thieves who slit his throat and left him for dead. He survived, killed all of them, and hung them from the rigging of their own ship. Good with ropes.
There are also many other deckhands, such as Joe Barnacle. Most of them are Achaean.
