Dryads are immortal forest beings with greenish skin and pointed elves. They are also called Elder Elves or Life Elves. Some tales say they can shift into the form of a tree at will, while others say they can simply slip inside of a tree using magic.
==Appearance==
Dryads look like green-skinned elves with tree-like features, including leafy hair that may change color with the seasons. They can grow bark on their skin when threatened.

Dryads are immortal creatures of the forest, living mostly solitary lives (rather than forming communities) among the oldest trees. Living like plants, they harm no living creature, neither flora nor fauna. They can speak to all the spirits of nature, and some say transform into both trees and animals.

By and large, dryads are shrouded in mystery. Many say they are probably the ancestors of the other elves, the first creations of the [[Vanir]], although the life elves worship no particular god or goddess, instead befriending those who love nature.
