Born into a noble family in the great city of [[Insusa]], Daria grew up in very high society. Her Gift was discovered and believed to be a blessing from Ormazd, a form of divine magic rather than her being a mage. Being born with an extremely rare affinity for Light itself, like the light of Ormazd, offered her an easy road to feeling that her magic was [[Divine Magic|divine]] in nature - which, perhaps, at least some of it was. Following a conspiracy against her, however, she was forced to escape her life-long home with the help of the dark stranger [[Djedar Rath]]. Eventually, she became a part of [[Titus|Titus's]] mage cult in Illikon.

Growing up in a lavish temple, Daria can be a bit of a royal pain. But she is far from lazy, even if entitled. As a high priestess of Ormazd, she had many duties, all of which she took - and still takes, even as an outcast - extremely seriously. She generally does not tolerate poor behavior from anyone.
