Apophis, Prince of Evil and the Demon Lord of Malice, was once a god, but was cast from power by the Kemheti gods under the leadership of Ra. Now the snake lord seethes in the Underworld, plotting vengeance as he tries to regain his lost power. He usually takes the appearance of an enormous, winged king cobra with the arms and torso of a man, his scaly skin covered in horns and strange cryptic patterns.
His are the souls of those whose sins cannot be categorized by any other definition than simple evil for evil's sake; those who simply enjoy causing misery.
His sanguine followers are winged and horned serpent-men who are the most evil of all demons, existing to tempt men into the worst imaginable sins and encourage them to always do evil and never relent for any reason. Their gaze is hypnotic and can force evil thoughts and plant dark suggestions in the minds of mortals. They are not to be confused with their wingless, un-horned beastfolk counterparts, the Naga.
Demon-kin begotten by the followers of Apophis are some of the most twisted and evil of all demon-mortal mixtures. They have bright red eyes and are constantly filled with the desire to do evil and encourage evil deeds, from which they derive great pleasure. Their gaze is said to be hypnotic.
